About Dave

Welcome to YourMusic.Coach!

This website exists to help you become the best musician that you can be by giving you actionable tips, inspirational stories, and the tools you need to succeed.

MY STORY

I grew up in a musical family. My parents met because my grandfathers worked together at the same factory and decided to start a band and sing together. They grew in popularity opening up for some big names and touring around the country. As I look back, I can’t help but think they were the unintentional role models sparking the musical journey of their children and grandchildren.

The first concert I remember going to was when my cousin played bass in a rock band. Another cousin of mine had started drum lessons and did a mind-blowing drum solo to end the whole performance. I was eight years old and I was hooked!

I signed up for band in my school and was chosen to play in the low brass section. It introduced me to the fundamentals of music and I got valuable experience discovering how to persevere while learning something new. This became extremely important later when I decided to pick up guitar and vocals.

Here’s the most important thing that I want you to know. I am not super talented or “gifted”. Everything I am musically came from hard work and learning the right ways to do things. You can’t teach giftedness but you can teach music and that’s what I am going to do for you.

WHY I WANT TO HELP YOU

I want to be your coach because I know what it’s like to search for answers endlessly looking for breakthrough knowing that someone out there knows the answer to this and I just need to find them. I can be that for you. Many things I know, I’ve learned the hard way.

MY GOAL

I’m determined to take what took me years to learn and teach it to you in a matter of months.

If you ever need a hand or have any questions, feel free to leave them below and I will be more than happy to help you out.

All the best,
